Today we’d like to introduce you to Erin Rocchio.
Hi Erin, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I grew up just north of San Diego in Tustin, oldest of three, and eager to find my way as a student, athlete, and young woman. I knew I wanted to do purposeful work from an early age and worked my way through different opportunities to do that, from education, personal development, collegiate athletics, and then organizational leadership development. I joined the family consulting business in 2008 and fell in love with the world of executive coaching and organization development.
Since then, I’ve launched my own coaching practice, created a brand devoted to providing resources that solve workplace burnout, joined a progressive team dedicated to advising businesses to be a force for social change, birthed two mini-me’s, and laid down family roots here in Mission Hills. Today, I support leaders up to big things and help them do so while preserving (or in some cases, finding) sustainable wellbeing.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As a working mom to two little ones, time and energy management are a constant challenge! I’m grateful for the resources and support I’ve found here, and it’s always a struggle to get enough sleep, time to myself, moments for my own wellbeing, and time to adventure with my husband. I often find myself taking my own medicine as it relates to rest, renewal, values, and support structures. I am walking the Wholeness at Work path alongside everyone else.
In addition, navigating through the macro events of the last two years personally and in the guidance of others has really broken open what I thought I knew about the role of leader – it’s brought both challenge and a new level of activism that has forever shaped my work.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
