Meet Jayce Venditti of TYME 2 SHYNE ARTISTIC STUDIOS

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jayce Venditti.

Jayce, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was born and raised on a small farm in northern California. Both my parents were artists which was very conducive to me growing up in the arts and entertainment. Through trials and tribulations as a kid and as a teen, I went in and out of the industry, playing piano and sax and acting in small theater groups. I had a bit of a hiatus during my teen years as I was caught up in school and sports, but after high school, I went to junior college where I got involved and ultimately fell in love with acting and music again.

At that time I made the decision to move to L A to pursue my love in that arena, which afforded me the opportunity to work with A-list actors and Grammy-nominated musicians. After a few years in LA I felt the environment there was not working for me, so I moved to San Diego to refocus myself. I started a company in LA, but being an artist and not knowing much about running a business, I decided to let it dissolve.

When I moved to San Diego, I encountered some people with my mindset, who loved the concept which I still  dreamed about—that being an entity or a thing with a distinct and independent existence  that was all about the artists. After a few years in San Diego, we started building a team. Now our goal is to make a contribution to the world by telling stories that inspire humankind to rediscover its imagination, purpose, and compassion.

In-house we have 20 or so projects, all at different stages of development and production, the first of which is mine called “ENTRENCHED”… A proof-of-concept short film that is also a commercial for a nonprofit organization here in San Diego with the goal of creating more awareness and actualizing change for veterans who are homeless and have PTSD.

We are pushing for a feature film version as well to encompass all forms of PTSD, with the goal of making our films cross paths and help lead to one another, i.e., main characters in one film may have cameos or be the background in another so that we can create our own universe mirroring the world that we live in by giving tribute to moments and events that deserve it.

Has it been a smooth road?
The entertainment industry is never a smooth road. What is though? A lot of trials and tribulations,  difficulties, hardships, and obstacles that have made the bittersweet moments so much more flavorful, enhanced and robust — lots of hard work for little bits of accomplishment that mean the world. The most difficult thing I’ve dealt with is myself. I am a creative/artist/talent through and through. We don’t have a shortage of talent, but films are one of the most volatile things to invest in; finances are what make this industry tough. Though they are luxuries… films also move the world… LITERALLY. So you’d think people would understand that. I guess in time,  right?

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the TYME 2 SHYNE ARTISTIC STUDIOS story. Tell us more about the business.
Our production company is about the artist and about the project. And we believe if you follow the litmus test for what’s best for the creators and talent and the project,  you will find yourselves with a project that the masses and audiences love and ultimately a project or film that is successful.

We are known for not sacrificing the concept of a Hollywood spectacle or  the fun of Hollywood Magic without sacrificing beautiful, inspiring stories in messages which is what we want to be known for. We are about creating successful films that do not just create income and create a thriving industry in San Diego, but spread important messages that are especially needed in this day and age.

We also pride ourselves in innovating some new ideas we hope to bring to filmmaking, from sustainable productions, to respect on the set in what is considered to be a very distinct hierarchy. Telling stories, that’s what we want to be known for. Telling stories so that when people leave a theater from seeing one of our films, they feel like they can, and they want to change the world for the better.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
We ultimately want to push the sustainable agenda. We are a team of empaths who believe it’s our responsibility as artists to be stewards for the planet through our art. We have ideas on how to accomplish that, but, of course, we have to gain the necessary foothold in order to implement those ideas.

We not only plan on doing this with our productions, but one day with a fully sustainable completely turnkey studio facility complex that incorporates natural preserves and locations, living quarters and places for all the artist’s needs. I specifically want to help do that as a growing brand artist/actor.
