Meet Darlene Hawley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Darlene Hawley.

Darlene, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Hi I’m Darlene Hawley a Brand and Business Clarity Coach. A mother of 4, wife, connector, storyteller and dream builder who lives in Murrieta, CA.

Imagine being 17 years old, pregnant and a senior in high school. I was confused and not sure what the future would hold for me as a single mom. However, I knew without a doubt that I would provide an amazing life for my son. With a lot of support from my family as well as a lot of focus and determination, I was able to raise my son and provide a great life for him while growing up right alongside him. It wasn’t always easy, but we did it together, and he showed me how strong of a woman and leader I would be and how I could accomplish so much in my life.

After high school, I started working in big-box retail and quickly worked my way up into management. I found a lot of joy in working with my team by helping them grow and move up within the company or move forward to follow their dreams. I was providing a great life for us but working 60+ hour work weeks it didn’t allow me the flexibility to spend time with my son and be there with him like I wanted to, plus my health was struggling. I had a ton of mom guilt and found it really hard to balance my family + work life + self-care.

Then my world was flipped upside down the Summer of 2001 when my mom/ best friend was killed in a car accident, and I almost lost my 5-year-old son. I was blessed beyond belief that my son came home a few days later. My heart was broken at the loss of my mom. She was my biggest fan and taught me so many great life lessons. Such as to show kindness, to be authentic, have fun, be generous and to always put my best foot forward so that I could make a difference to those around me, by just being me. I can still hear her voice encouraging and moving me forward.

Despite all the pain and heartache, I was feeling, I knew it was time to make a change and impact lives and to be the mom I wanted to be on my terms. In August of 2007, a year after having my second son, I became a business coaching. I went all in to get the best training I could find through a franchise and learned from the best in the business. I left training knowing that I was going to change lives, but I struggled with getting clients. I felt so defeated and frustrated. I wasn’t able to communicate the right words, and I wasn’t connecting with my audience. At the end of 2009, I left the franchise.

At the beginning of 2010, I picked back up the pieces and rehung my shingle. I knew that if I was going to be successful, I was going to have to work harder, dig deep and believe in myself. I remembered what I had accomplished, how far I had come and how determined I was to make an impact and change in the world. I knew I had a story to share and a unique message that only I could bring. I wanted to lead by example for my children, to show them what I believe in my core, that we can achieve anything we put our minds and hearts too.

My life had completely transformed since July 4th, 2001 when I lost my mother. I am now a wife, and mother of four amazing kids. Through a lot of mindset exercises, hard work and determination I have been able to build a business that works. My determination has lead me to inspire women entrepreneurs in finding their unique voice by being powerfully clear on their niche and marketing strategy so they can lead the life they have craved and courageously share their unique stories to build a brand that attracts and stands out.

I’m a Brand and Business Clarity Coach who helps women entrepreneurs who are struggling with building a successful personal brand and business. I support them by connecting their unique story to build an authentic, magnetizing and profitable brand and business that gives them the impact, freedom, and flexibility that they crave.

I love empowering women to step into their own and create the life they are meant to live. One of the ways I do this is by giving back and donating a portion from my coaching programs to Kiva to help women grow or start a new business so they can create a better life.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I moved to Southern California a little over four years ago from Las Vegas, NV. I love living in Murrieta, CA near wine country and feel so blessed to be just an hour from the beach, mountains and the big city life. There is so much beauty in this area to explore and is the perfect place to raise my family.
