Life & Work with Christina Rendon of Remote, North County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Rendon.

Hi Christina, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My path unfolded more as I engaged with life than through any single defining moment. It was shaped by a deep curiosity about what creates a genuine sense of connection and quality of life.

That exploration eventually became integrated into the work I do, but it began in more personal ways. I was drawn early on to practices like meditation, writing, and self-reflection, which gave me a direct experience of clarity and connection. I studied religious studies and psychology to better understand the belief systems and frameworks that shape how we see ourselves and the world, with the intention of applying those insights in a meaningful way.

That path led me to working with both individuals and groups in a variety of settings. I saw people access powerful moments of insight and breakthrough, yet still find themselves facing deeper questions around relationships, fulfillment, and how to actually live in alignment with what they understood. That led me further into psychology and clinical work, where I began to understand how patterns form, how they’re reinforced, and what keeps us from creating lives that reflect more of what is true to our potential.

Over time, my work became an integration of both my studies and lived experience. I’m interested in creating spaces where insight can translate into something lived—where clarity begins to naturally influence how we relate, make decisions, and move through our lives.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, but it has been a meaningful one.

There have been periods of clarity and expansion, and others that asked me to slow down and be more present with myself. I’ve experienced moments of uncertainty, loss, and transitions without clear direction. Times where things didn’t make sense right away, and I had to move through them without having full clarity.

Over time, I began to see that those experiences were shaping how I relate to myself and my life. I’ve come to understand that challenges are a natural part of life, and the way we meet them, along with the insight we gain over time, shapes how we move forward and evolve.

If anything, my life has taught me the importance of presence and love. I’ve also come to understand how much our sense of value shapes the way we move through the world. It shows up in what we choose, what we accept, and how we express ourselves.

Growth, for me, has felt less like becoming someone new and more like becoming more aligned with what’s already there.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I’m a therapist, author, and speaker, and my work centers on supporting people through meaningful phases of their lives, especially when something no longer feels fully aligned, or they’re navigating change, growth, healing, or a sense of disconnection. Much of what I see are patterns that shape how someone moves through their life, and as those patterns come into awareness, the potential to shift how we experience ourselves and our lives begins to emerge.

My work is trauma-informed and integrative in its approach, and less about applying a single framework and more about meeting someone where they are while creating space for deeper connection and lasting transformation, work that can be lived, not just understood. I’ve taught meditation across a range of settings, from wellness spaces and a fitness app to international festivals, while also speaking at conferences on personal growth, mindset, and leadership, where I explore how internal patterns shape how we show up in our work, our relationships, and the decisions we make.

What I’m most proud of is being able to do work I care about and witnessing people create real, sometimes life-altering shifts in their lives, whether that looks like healing from past experiences, releasing patterns that no longer serve them, or developing a deeper sense of fulfillment. I feel deeply committed to my own growth and to the process of the work itself, and I’m looking forward to what continues to unfold this year in the work I share.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Luck has played a role in my life, not in a purely random or passive sense. It’s felt more like a meeting point, moments where timing, opportunity, and connection align in ways that couldn’t have been planned, allowing something within you to be expressed. At times, it shows up as a natural flow, where things come together without force.

There are also experiences that, on the surface, wouldn’t be considered luck, yet over time become something that supports growth or enhances life in unexpected ways.

Looking more closely, many of these moments tend to emerge when there is space and stillness for clarity to surface. From that place, perception begins to shift. What once felt out of reach becomes visible, and new choices begin to open. When the body is more at ease, there is a greater ability to stay present and respond, rather than miss what’s in front of you.

Both the conscious and subconscious mind are constantly filtering, orienting you toward what feels familiar, relevant, or safe. As your internal state shifts, what you notice and respond to begins to shift as well, and with it, what we often come to recognize as luck.
