Meet Cesar Williamson of Advanced Steam Cleaning

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cesar Williamson.

Hi Cesar, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Started my business when I was 21 while working as a union electrician. The days were long, and I was going to school at night, so there wasn’t much of a life outside of work. When my daughter Annessa was born, I felt like I needed to take a chance on self-employment so I could spend more time with her.

I invested in some carpet cleaning equipment and took the leap. Fast forward 10 years later, and it’s probably the best decision I’ve ever made. I’ve been beyond blessed in this business in every way possible.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There were definitely a lot of struggles in the beginning, and even now there are challenges that come with running a business. For the first four years, I made little to no money. I knew nothing about business and honestly very little about carpet cleaning itself. It took years to learn how to clean carpet the right way, and even longer to learn how to do it efficiently and at a high level.

Along the way, I had to teach myself everything — equipment repairs, website marketing, Google SEO, social media advertising, and so much more. I could probably list things all day that I had to learn through trial and error.

What I’ve learned is that the longer you stick with something and stay consistent, the smoother the road becomes. The road is pretty smooth for me now compared to the early years, but in business you always have to stay on your toes because obstacles can come at any time.

Advanced Steam Cleaning offers both residential and commercial steam cleaning services. Our main services include carpet cleaning, hard surface floor cleaning, and upholstery cleaning. I would say our specialty is upholstery — we’ve developed a really solid system over the years that delivers great results consistently.

I take a lot of pride in the work we do and in making sure Advanced Steam Cleaning represents professionalism, quality, and attention to detail on every job.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The ability to show up even when you really don’t feel like it is one of the biggest keys to success.

Staying consistent with what needs to be done, even when there’s no guarantee it will work out, is what separates people who make it from people who quit too early. You never truly know what’s possible unless you try and keep pushing forward.

Accountability is also huge — not just with other people, but with yourself. Holding yourself to a high standard, keeping your word, and doing what you say you’re going to do matters in business and in life.
