Small Business of the Day: Conversations with Kat W of The Sugarwitch Co.

Today’s Small Business of the Day features an interview with Kat W. Please find our conversation below.

We’re thrilled to have the chance to ask you some fun questions today, but before we get started, can you introduce The Sugarwitch Co. to our readers.
The Sugarwitch Co. began as a literal labor of love – as a person with now 27 food allergies that also affect my skin and respiratory system, I was beyond limited at what I could buy for myself at the store and needed to find a way to thrive without those items. I began with basic skincare and candles, and the rest is history.

Clients send me testimonials often, stating that they especially love the candles because they do not feel headaches or the desire to sneeze due to the fact that most candles on the market are full of toxins or allergens. The same goes for bodycare items, as we do not use chemicals or irritants. We do not greenwash our brand – it’s simply green by nature.

Are there some clients who are your brand’s MVP’s – give them a shoutout and tell us about the impact they’ve had on your brand
Some of my clients have been our biggest supporters over the last few years, and we are so grateful!

One of our longest clients, Rough & Tumbled Gems, loves to collaborate through materials. We also cross-vend at special events, with each others’ products or utilizing each others’ products while we are at separate events. This has helped us find new clientele for each other, increasing business as we vend at more events.

One of our newest clients is The Star and Stone metaphysical shop. We do private labeling for their house candles, but they also carry our standard items. This helps us by sharing our items in a different town, but also the private label candles provide a business opportunity and something refreshingly different from our usual work.

Both clients help expand our footprint as we expand theirs.

Alright, before we go, let’s do a quick lightning round.
