Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Kara.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Twelve years ago, I worked on local TV, I had to look bright and I decided to try a permanent makeup of my lips since then, I was in love with this procedure and at that moment I realized that I would definitely become a permanent make-up artist. But I had to finish the medical college, in which I was studying at that time. And work in the hospital for several years, so that my dream has moved back for 4 years. But I did not give up and learned the correction of eyebrows and their staining. When I realized that I absolutely want to do permanent make-up, I practically left work in the hospital and went to study at the permanent make-up school, took this process 3 months. Gradually, step by step, I practiced, I learned tons of information and after a couple of years I opened my own permanent make-up studio, but a couple of years later my husband was offered a job in America. But again the complexity, I did not know English, so I had to spend a year at school, I really missed my job, but the discouragement is not mine, so I never stopped practicing on special artificial skin. In April 2017, having learned English, I opened a business here in San Diego and I am very happy that I can emphasize the beauty of millions of women in USA.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The most difficult thing was that I started working when there were no books about it, nor any information about natural permanent make-up and it was difficult to look for information on the Internet, as a result of which I wrote my own training program with which I do not need to spend nights at the laptop, as it was in my case.
Permanent makeup by Anna Kara – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I think that what distinguishes me most from others is that I can do different techniques and effects on faces. Such as Ombre/powder eyebrows, combo techniques (hair strokes and shading), eyeshadows, 3D lips, aquarelle lips. And also, I can fix old tattooing.
I emphasize the beauty of women, I make them happy with the help of natural permanent make-up. Photos of my works speak for me!

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I badly wanted to create again permanent makeup (I could not do it in the USA without a license) that for a year I learned a foreign language and got permits.
