Today we’d like to introduce you to Elvis and Staci Martin.
Elvis and Staci, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
On June 6th of this year, we were just leaving the gym when Elvis received a text message asking if he was interested in buying a shop or if he knew anyone who was interested. I looked at my husband and said, “why don’t we buy it?” He asked me if I was serious and I told him I was. Elvis has been tattooing since 2003 and I had been laid off from my job of 8 years and had zero interviews lined up. It just made sense to me that this was our moment to go out on a limb and go into business for ourselves. A week later, we had loan approval. On July 1, 2017, we were officially the new owners of DermalGrafix.
Has it been a smooth road?
Other than everything happening so quickly and learning our way through the process of business ownership, I’d say it’s gone very well. I think we’ve done a really good job transitioning. I have always been detail oriented and organized, so for me, managing the business comes fairly easy. Elvis is the talent and maintains order within the shop.

Built in 2008, custom designed from floor to ceiling, personally constructed by the original owner, taking over 4 months to come to life. DermalGrafix was designed to create the newest and most memorable experience you may ever have coming to a tattoo studio.
Every aspect of the interior had careful attention paid upon design and construction where you can escape your ordinary, hectic life and into a fantasy.
We have long prided ourselves on being that unique studio than one you might be used to. Here, you will not find egos, attitudes, intimidation or anything to make you feel less than the customer and client you want to be. You’ll be greeted with smiles and respect and can relax in our laid back, relaxing studio complete with a waterfall, mystical jungle atmosphere and an environment you will not find in any other studio.
We are proud to say all tattoos done by Elvis are completely vegan! We are also proud to announce, we are both veterans, any military active duty or retired will receive 10% discount when you book your appointment with Elvis.
