Meet Dr. Steven Albinder of San Diego Chiropractic Neurology in Bankers Hill

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Steven Albinder.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Our business started as mission between myself and Dr. Kamran Jahangiri in January 2016 to provide non-pharmaceutical and non-invasive solutions for people suffering from concussions, migraines, and vertigo. I suffered from multiple severe concussions and post-concussion syndrome, and it wasn’t until I found Functional Neurology that I was able to heal my brain. Dr. Jahangiri also had a similar scenario, and Functional Neurology helped him to get to where he is today as well. We realized that there were a huge amount of people suffering in San Diego and we decided to make it our mission to share this amazing practice with as many people as we could. From there, with lots of hard work, community education, and fantastic patient results, we have been in business for over 2 years.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
As with any business, there are speed bumps, and ups and downs, but we have persisted and the road has been generally pretty smooth so far. Our biggest challenge is educating the community about our practice because our profession is so new and unique.

San Diego Chiropractic Neurology – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
San Diego Chiropractic Neurology is our business name and we specialize in the treatment of concussions, post-concussion syndrome, migraines, and vertigo/dizziness. What sets us apart from other companies in our field is our integrative approach to healing the brain. We always strive to find the root cause of why people are suffering whether that is a problem with the connectivity of the brain, nutritional problems, musculoskeletal problems, or a combination of all of them, and I believe that it is our personalized approach to each individual patient that I am the proudest of.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
For me, success, much like the brain, has many integrated aspects. I believe that leaving a positive mark on the community, helping others, having healthy relationships, and having fun with you are achieving all of these goals really defines the essence of success.
