Meet Anthony Hutchings of Boys to Men Mentoring

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Hutchings.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Anthony. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I grew up in a motorcycle club environment, this leads me to make many wrong choices in my life. I spent 15 years in a California State Prison due to these decisions. When I was released I started talking to young men in high schools about life choices. This brought me to Boys to Men and since that time I have been using my life experiences to show boys how quickly your life can change and also to help them in discovering possibilities they maybe never thought possible.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Lots of struggles, being a convict created more trouble then I can write down. However, along the way I went back to college, recited my degree and now I am the program director for Boys to Men.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Boys to Men Mentoring – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We work with high-risk boys throughout San Diego County in hopes of changing the world one boy at a time. I was one of the principle people in developing our in-school program. We see the boys each week to support them throw the life journey.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I would like to have the Boys to Men program in every school in San Diego.
