Check Out Lindsay Fok’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsay Fok.

Hi Lindsay, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I actually started my journey with Arbonne while I was a freshman in college. During that time, I was working multiple jobs and was drawn to the flexibility and long-term potential of building something of my own. I didn’t yet have a clear vision for my career path, but I knew I wanted options, independence, and work that aligned with a healthier, more intentional lifestyle.

Not long after, I felt a strong pull toward cosmetology school. While earning my license, I continued juggling multiple jobs and growing my Arbonne business alongside it. That season required discipline and sacrifice, but it also built a strong foundation in work ethic, time management, and consistency lessons that still shape how I work today.

As my career behind the chair grew, so did my appreciation for wellness from the inside out. Being a hairstylist gave me a front-row seat to how stress, nutrition, hormones, and lifestyle choices directly impact our hair, skin, and overall confidence which naturally deepened my belief in holistic wellness.

After becoming a mom, I experienced significant postpartum skin challenges that affected both my confidence and my ability to show up fully in my work as a hairstylist. That season pushed me to dig deeper into natural, supportive solutions and to truly practice what I had been sharing with clients for years. It became a turning point not only personally, but professionally. I leaned even more into growing my Arbonne business and integrating clean, intentional wellness into my daily life, which ultimately transformed how I approached hair care and client education.

Today, I blend my experience as a licensed hairstylist, entrepreneur, and mom to support women in feeling confident, informed, and empowered, whether that’s through beauty, wellness, or business mentorship. My journey hasn’t been linear, but every chapter has served a purpose, allowing me to show up authentically and intentionally for the women I serve.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been navigating seasons where life and business were both demanding at the same time. There were periods of burnout, self-doubt, and learning how to manage my energy instead of just pushing through on willpower alone.

Postpartum was especially challenging. I dealt with skin issues that affected my confidence and, at times, how I showed up professionally as a hairstylist and in the salon. When your work is client-facing, going through visible changes can feel incredibly vulnerable. That season forced me to confront the reality that what we put into our bodies; stress, nutrition, sleep, and hormones… shows up externally, often in ways we can’t ignore.

Another struggle was learning to pivot without guilt. Stepping back from behind the chair at times and leaning more into growing my Arbonne business required trust in myself, in the process, and in the idea that success doesn’t have to look the same in every season. There was a learning curve in redefining productivity and letting go of the pressure to do everything at once.

Those challenges ultimately reshaped how I approach both beauty and wellness. Instead of quick fixes, I now focus on sustainable, supportive habits for myself and for the women I serve. The road has had its hard moments, but those struggles became the very experiences that strengthened my purpose and clarified my direction.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My work sits at the intersection of beauty, wellness, and mentorship. As a licensed hairstylist, I specialize in helping women understand their hair beyond the surface looking at how lifestyle, stress, hormones, and nourishment all play a role in hair health. I’m known for educating my clients, not just servicing them, and for creating a space where women feel supported, heard, and confident.

Through my Arbonne business, I focus on simplifying wellness and making it realistic for real life, especially for busy women and moms. I’m known for meeting people where they are, offering practical routines instead of extremes, and leading with integrity and transparency. I care deeply about helping women feel empowered in their choices, whether that’s with products, habits, or business opportunities.

What I’m most proud of is the community I’ve built. Not just in terms of numbers, but in trust. I’ve created a brand and a reputation rooted in consistency, education, and genuine care. I’m also proud of my ability to adapt and to grow a business that supports different seasons of life without losing alignment or authenticity.

What sets me apart is my lived experience. I don’t teach from theory alone. I teach from walking through it myself. I bridge the gap between external beauty and internal wellness, and I approach both with a long-term, sustainable mindset. My goal isn’t quick results; it’s lasting confidence, health, and freedom and that perspective shapes everything I do.

What makes you happy?
What makes me happiest is alignment, when my life, work, and values feel connected instead of competing with each other. I find a lot of joy in building meaningful work that allows me to be present for my family while still using my creativity and leadership.

Family plays a huge role in that. Being a mom and wife has completely reshaped how I define success, and happiness for me looks like having the flexibility to show up for the moments that matter, while also modeling discipline, integrity, and purpose through my work.

I’m also genuinely happy when I’m helping other women feel more confident whether that’s through beauty, wellness, or guiding them toward something they didn’t think was possible for themselves. Seeing someone feel empowered in their body, their choices, or their income is incredibly fulfilling.

At the core, happiness for me comes from creating a life that feels intentional, one where I can care for my family, grow personally and professionally, and support others in doing the same.
