Community Highlights: Meet Fernanda Ralston of I am Creation

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fernanda Ralston

Hi Fernanda, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began my career in the fashion world under Gianni Versace in the heyday of high fashion, spending almost a decade between Europe and the United States with corporations such as Euro Fashion TV.
While I was residing in my native Brazil, I created the Pos Luxury movement – redefining the values central to true Luxury which replace excess and exhibitionism with originality, high purpose, quality and elegance.
The movement took off and started to get a lot of attention and following and that’s when I decided to build and launch a hotel that could showcase every pillar of the Post Luxury culture. The hotel is called Botanique Hotel & Spa, located in the heart of the Mantiqueira mountains in Brazil and it quickly became successful and internationally acclaimed.

My philosophy is : “Luxury is not only about having nice things, wearing designers and traveling first class, it’s a state of mind. It’s about inviting beauty, connection and flow into your daily life.”

I have recently launched my new brand called I AM CREATION®, an epicenter for the post luxury lifestyle offering rich media and merchandise to elevate daily life by incorporating holistic design and home rituals into everyday routines and places. The vision is to present a fusion of art and design that can elevate your life experience.

It’s a new approach to turning quotidian chores and mundane spaces into exercises in personal growth and luxury living.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Of course it took a lot of focus and dedication but my path was always about translating design and luxury so when I look back I appreciate the fact that there was much more beauty and flow in my path than real struggles.

In my experience keeping yourself true to your vision in moments of doubt was the biggest challenge.
