Today we’d like to introduce you to Amrit-Sadhana Boyd.
Amrit-Sadhana’s path to wellness started from a young age. She was raised in a yogic home where early mornings, meditation and cold showers were a part of her everyday life. She went on to live her life, received her BA in Voice Performance from the University of Oregon and moved to Los Angeles. It was there that she worked for a holistic chiropractor and her passion for health and wellness was relit. She has found that no matter how much trauma you survive, how depressed or anxious you are, or how hopeless you feel, you can heal and live in joy in your body, mind and spirit. You can conquer all the fears and programming that is holding you back and follow your deepest dreams. It was her experience in changing her relationship with her own anxiety that she realized she could help others to do so. She uses her lifelong experience with yoga and meditation and her deep knowledge of food and nutrition to give you a grounded base in which to work from. She’s committed to a career in helping others heal, fall in love with themselves and live their absolute best lives. Amrit-Sadhana attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and here we are. She is a passionate, compassionate and supportive coach who is here to help you find peace and joy in your life.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I always say that my story is harder than some and easier than some. I had heavy childhood trauma which left me with PTSD. I have been able to use the tools I was raised with along with other modalities and therapy to get me to a stable place where I can recognize when I am being triggered or having an episode and do everything I know how to bring myself back into my body. For young women starting your journey, keep going. The waves of pain, anxiety and fear pass. The stories in your head that you think are true about yourself aren’t. Keep going. Find a group of friends who you trust and who honors wherever you are at. Learn to listen to your body and let your intuition guide you to what is right for you in the moment. Remember that there is no right or wrong way to live a holistic life.
We’d love to hear more about your work.
I am a licensed, holistic health & anxiety coach. This encompasses nutrition, movement, meditation, spiritual practice, boundary setting and looking at all areas of your life to see where you need to find balance. I feel like my experience and knowledge set me apart from others. I have been doing this my whole life and because of that I have gathered so many tools, modalities and ways of learning to process our lives. I have a very open-minded perspective. What works for one client might not for another, so I have learned to really listen, hold space and follow my intuition on what my clients are asking of me. I guide and support women so they can change their relationship with their body, mind and spirits and live their most joy-filled lives.
Who do you look up to? How have they inspired you?
This is always such a hard question for me to answer because I have been fortunate to have amazing, strong, powerful women in my life. For starts, my mom! She has been through so much and yet still always comes out stronger on the other side. My dear friend Sophie has taught me how to live from an authentic place and shown me that I have every right to change and evolve. That I don’t have to be the same person today than I was yesterday.
