Daily Inspiration: Meet Angeline Geronimo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angeline Geronimo

Hi Angeline, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My love affair with florals bloomed during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. With the world at a standstill, I found myself standing in endless lines at Trader Joe’s and local supermarkets, all for the simple joy of buying flowers. Once home, I’d dive into Pinterest, hunting for inspiration, experimenting with color palettes, textures, and movement. Before I knew it, every corner of our home overflowed with arrangements—that brought beauty to uncertain times.

It wasn’t long before my husband gave me the nudge I needed: “Why not turn your passion into something more?” And just like that, Simplicity Blooms was born.

Determined to sharpen my craft, I enrolled in college courses on floral design, attended workshops hosted by talented florists, and connected with inspiring entrepreneurs on Instagram. Along the way, I discovered a vibrant community of local flower growers who shared my passion for supporting sustainable and seasonal blooms.

These connections became the backbone of my business. Collaborating with local growers not only gave me access to fresher, higher-quality flowers, but also allowed me to offer clients exclusive, beautiful seasonal arrangements. Every bouquet tells a story, and for me, it’s about honoring the journey from farm to vase.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The floral industry is not for the faint of heart—it’s as demanding as it is rewarding. By day, I work full-time as a Patent Paralegal at a leading local tech company, but most evenings and every weekend I pour my heart into Simplicity Blooms, my growing floral business. Entrepreneurship wasn’t on my radar initially—it all started as a creative outlet to break free from the monotony of routine. Now, I’m navigating uncharted territory, learning the ins and outs of running a business. With so many talented local florists in the area, the challenge lies in defining what sets Simplicity Blooms apart—and ensuring every bouquet tells its own story.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am the owner and floral designer behind Simplicity Blooms, where I bring a love for all things simple, elegant, and blooming to life. My passion lies in crafting unique floral arrangements that capture emotion, and I’m now expanding my expertise to create unforgettable weddings and events.

What sets me apart? My journey began as a creative outlet and blossomed into a heartfelt profession. I prioritize collaboration—working closely with local growers, artisans, and most importantly, you. Every event I design becomes a personal endeavor.

I don’t just design flowers—I tell your story through them. Whether it’s a wedding, a celebration, or a milestone, I take the time to understand how you want it to look, feel, and resonate. Then, I bring it to life in breathtaking ways, crafting a celebration that’s not only visually stunning but also deeply meaningful. Together, we create memories.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
As a florist, I believe the most important quality for my success is attention to detail. Flowers are more than just arrangements—they tell stories, evoke emotions, and create lasting memories. Paying close attention to every detail ensures each arrangement captures the essence of my client’s vision, whether it’s for a wedding, celebration, or heartfelt gift.

This also ties directly to communication. Truly listening to clients and understanding their needs helps me translate their ideas into something tangible and meaningful. It’s about more than creating something beautiful; it’s about capturing emotions and moments in time.

Additionally, I’m committed to continuous learning. The floral industry is ever-evolving, and staying adaptable allows me to incorporate new techniques and trends while still honoring the timeless artistry of floristry. Finally, at the heart of my work is the drive to make people happy and help them create memories. The joy I see in a client’s reaction when they see their vision come to life is what fuels my passion and ensures I bring my best to every project.
