Exploring Life & Business with Andrea Bella Pedroza of Treats by A

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Bella Pedroza.

Hi Andrea Bella, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Andrea Pedroza is the owner and baker behind Treats by A, a cottage bakery known for its handcrafted gourmet cookies. She began baking at just 8 years old and officially launched her business in 2021 while attending culinary school. Inspired by her own gluten intolerance, Andrea creates small-batch treats with inclusive options for various dietary needs. She currently sells at three farmers markets each week, sharing her passion for quality, creativity, and community—one cookie at a time.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I can definitely say it hasn’t been a completely smooth road. At the beginning of last year when I started selling at the farmers markets I was facing struggles with trying to actually sell my product, I could barely sell 10-20 cookies every weekend. Until I met my husband and he started to teach me some tips on selling and how to display my product, that’s when I went from selling 10 cookies a day to 300!

As you know, we’re big fans of Treats by A. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Treats by A is more than just a cookie business—it’s a reflection of creativity, resilience, and heart. What sets my brand apart is the balance of nostalgic comfort and thoughtful innovation in every bite. I’m proud to have built a brand that feels warm, intentional, and community-driven. At its core, Treats by A is about turning simple ingredients into something memorable—and sharing that joy with others every week at local farmers markets. I’m passionate about inclusivity, so many of my recipes are also gluten-free, dairy-free, or vegan without ever sacrificing flavor. What I’m most proud of is building a brand that surprises people—in the best way—and brings excitement back to something as simple as a cookie.

What are your plans for the future?
My goal is to open a physical location where people can experience Treats by A in a cozy, welcoming space. I envision a bakery that feels like home—a place to grab a treat, connect with others, and enjoy cookies that are as creative as they are comforting. Having a storefront would allow me to expand my menu, reach more people, and continue building community through my baked goods.
