Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaypee Woo.
Hi Jaypee, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Oi Asian Fusion started with friends who wanted to bring Filipino food to the next level. We wanted to bring some fresh ideas to the culinary world by integrating Japanese ideas to our Filipino cuisine, instead of having the traditional Filipino TURO-TURO.
Personally, I am a registered nurse in the Philippines, then attended a culinary school at my hometown, the culinary capital of the Philippines (PAMPANGA)
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nope.
But lately it is caused by the rising cost of our ingredients, rents and labor.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Oi Asian Fusion is a one-of-a-kind restaurant that provide quality food and service to San Diegans. Our Top 1 dish is the ADOBO BOWL, not your typical filipino style, but it is with a big twist in it, Same ingredients but different way of cooking.
We’ve elevated filipino food to the next level by incorporating the Japanese culinary. Serving QUALITY food.
RICE is LIFE
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
We make everything fresh. Prepare our meats weekly from Brining and cutting bellies, slicing briskets, molding wagyu burgers, rolling eggrolls(lumpia) and many more. We take pride of serving only QUALITY FOOD.
