Today we’d like to introduce you to Justyna Wawrzonek
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve been in the mental health field as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over ten years. In 2023, I decided to start my practice, Embodied Living Wellness Center, to provide a more holistic and integrative approach to mental health. I always felt that something was missing in the mental health space, as our mental health is not separate from the rest of us, including our body, our spirit, our sexual selves, and how we express ourselves in our relationships and the world at large. I wanted to offer a healing modality that fills in some of these gaps by blending the world of psychotherapy, sex therapy, and yoga to provide a more comprehensive approach to addressing mental health challenges.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As a mental health professional, business experience was not part of my repertoire. Starting a business comes with many challenges and opportunities for growth. I am fortunate that I was able to connect with other professionals and mentors who guided me along the process, which allowed for a relatively easy and smooth transition into the world of being a business owner.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
The Embodied Living Wellness Center is a holistic, integrative, trauma-informed practice focusing on whole-person wellness. The services offered include psychotherapy and sex therapy aimed at supporting individuals and relationships to experience a more embodied life of deeper connection, intimacy, and aliveness. Integrating the mind, body, and spirit in the therapeutic space sets this practice apart from traditional talk therapy. The focus on all aspects of the human experience through evidence-based interventions, body-centered approaches, nervous system regulation techniques, mindfulness skills, trauma-sensitive yoga tools, and yogic philosophy allows individuals to go beyond reducing unwanted symptoms and moves them toward health, wellness, and vitality.
