Hidden Gems: Meet Kyle Frakes of MOONLIGHT LONGEVITY

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyle Frakes.

Hi Kyle, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my career playing professional basketball, which shaped how I think about discipline, performance, and long term health. After leaving the court, I transitioned into the medical aesthetics world through device sales, where I had the opportunity to work closely with some of the top physicians, nurses, and experts in aesthetics and longevity. That role gave me an inside look at how high level practices operate and allowed me to learn the industry from the ground up while receiving some of the best training available.

Over time, I realized I wanted to move beyond sales and become a provider myself so I could fully apply that knowledge in a hands on way. I went through nursing school, continued deepening my education in aesthetics and longevity medicine, and ultimately opened my own practice in Rancho Santa Fe. The Village of Rancho Santa Fe is a truly special place. It is one of the most beautiful and tight knit communities in San Diego, and we are incredibly excited to be a part of it. Our goal is to deliver the highest quality care and experience for our patients while also contributing to and highlighting everything that makes this community so exceptional.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. Bringing Moonlight Longevity to life took about five years and came with a lot of sacrifices along the way. Going through nursing school without steady income was a major challenge, along with being patient enough to wait for the right space and the right location rather than rushing into something that did not fully align with the vision. There were also plenty of operational hurdles behind the scenes that tested both resilience and patience.

Looking back, every challenge forced me to be more intentional and disciplined about how I built the practice. Everything ultimately came together in a way that could not have been planned any better, and the result feels completely worth it. What we have created feels truly special and unlike anything else, and I would not change the path it took to get here.

As you know, we’re big fans of MOONLIGHT LONGEVITY. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Moonlight Longevity sits at the intersection of medical aesthetics and wellness, with a strong focus on prevention, longevity, and long term health. We built the practice around the idea that people are no longer just looking to improve how they look, but also how they feel, perform, and age over time. That is why the name Longevity was intentional. Our goal is to form long term partnerships with patients and create personalized plans that support both aesthetic goals and overall health.

What truly sets us apart is the integrated approach. We combine advanced aesthetic treatments with wellness based therapies to address the full picture rather than isolated concerns. Every patient experience is curated, thoughtful, and goal driven. My background working on both sides of the aesthetic industry gave me a clear understanding of what works well and where many practices fall short, especially in cash pay medicine. From day one, the priority was to build something that puts patient outcomes, education, and experience first.

We are also proud of where we chose to open. Rancho Santa Fe is one of the most beautiful and unique communities in San Diego, yet it has been underserved when it comes to a truly modern medical aesthetics and longevity practice. Being able to bring this level of care, intention, and innovation to the Valley of Rancho Santa Fe is something we are extremely proud of. For readers, I want them to know that Moonlight Longevity is not about quick fixes or trends. It is about quality, trust, and helping people invest in their health and confidence for the long run.

More than anything, we are genuinely excited and grateful to be part of the San Diego community, and especially the greater Rancho Santa Fe area. The response has been incredible, and we have been fortunate to meet so many amazing patients who are passionate about their health, confidence, and long term well being.

As we continue to grow, our focus remains on building real relationships and helping people reach their aesthetic and wellness goals in a thoughtful and responsible way. We are proud to be based in San Diego and look forward to continuing to grow alongside this community for many years to come.
