Today we’d like to introduce you to Sierra Rainge-Jones.
Sierra, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
As a juvenile detention officer fresh out of college, I discovered a love for helping youth discover their gifts and innate talents. I was of the firm belief that understanding personal value would reduce recidivism. My experience creating programs to reduce violence and increase a desire for personal development led me to pursue coaching for young women. The coaching program then expanded to work with women who desired clarity regarding their purpose and eventually my coaching practice scaled to become a full coaching and publishing firm that teaches success strategies, brand voice development, and other keys to help women not only discover purpose but to maximize their gifts in order to monetize and generate profit.
Today, my brand is a full-service empowerment brand that equips ambitious women with tools to expand their reach, share their struggle and success stories while creating product bundles that allow them to generate revenue from what they’ve lived through and learned from.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The journey has been both challenging and extremely rewarding. Some tough lessons I’ve learned along the way is understanding the power and efficiency of having a niche market and ideal client.
Since I started my coaching journey working with youth and then transitioned to women in business, I had to get very clear about what results I could help others experience and exactly how I could do it. When I focused more on results, I, in turn, got more.
Another challenge was abandoning the hustle of business and adopting a desire for alignment. I stopped chasing success, and I started focusing on developing my gifts, honing in on my craft, investing in my own development and getting very clear on who my gifts best served, it was then that I begin to attract opportunities that helped me level up.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I am a vision activator, content developer, brand strategist, author coach and book publisher. I help individuals use their gifts, expertise, acquired skillset, and life stories to create products, services, and books to build their brand.
I specialize in helping my clients craft signature stories and develop their brand voice in order to resonate with the group demographic that is most likely to like, buy and recommend their books, products, and services.
I am most proud of my ability to help others launch influential brands and build an organic community around their brand. I’ve learned that the most powerful coaches are those who empower and equip their clients to become leaders in their own right.
Do you think there are structural or other barriers impeding the emergence of more female leaders?
The biggest barriers for female leadership outside of the societal and systemic challenges are women learning to articulate and demand their value unapologetically.
I have found that women who are in pursuit of purpose often focus more on building their personal brands and fail to fully understand how to build a profitable business model, so then you have women who are excited about growth but lack the effective tools to experience it financially.
Women have always been purposeful and powerful, I’m excited and happy to see more and more women learning to leverage and negotiate so that they can be profitable as well.
