Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Rodriguez.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Growing up, my mom was a big inspiration in my life. She worked as an event coordinator for a cosmetics company, traveling the world and always coming home with stories about the amazing events she helped create. Watching her live such a full, intentional life made me want to do the same.
When I got older, it felt natural to follow in her footsteps. Even though she’s no longer here, I’ve always felt motivated to make her proud and to find the same joy she did in her work.
While I was in college, I started working for a few wedding companies—kind of like internships. I got to see what went on behind the scenes and really fell in love with the process. Then I studied abroad in Europe, where I was inspired by the culture and how people celebrated love and life.
When I came back home, I was more motivated than ever to turn this passion into a career.
That’s when I found White Lace Event. From the moment I joined the team, things just clicked. I felt like I was exactly where I was meant to be and that was only the beginning.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the beautiful things about wedding planning is that the best way to learn what works and what doesn’t, is simply by doing it. While there are some general guidelines, so much of it comes down to experience. You figure things out by trying, making mistakes, and adjusting along the way.
So sure, there have been bumps in the road, but each one has taught me something valuable. Having faith in the process and being open to growth is key. That’s how I truly feel I’ve gotten better! And of course, remembering to enjoy the journey along the way.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
At White Lace Event, I work as a lead planner and also help manage our social media. I design, create, and bring to life weddings for engaged couples, guiding them through the planning process from start to finish.
What makes White Lace so special is the connection we build with our couples. We take the time to truly get to know them…their personalities, their style, and what matters most to them on their big day. It’s more than just planning – it’s about building a relationship rooted in trust and care.
Design has always come naturally to me. I’ve always had an eye for aesthetics but what matters most is the heart behind the work. I feel incredibly grateful to work with couples in such an important season of their lives, and my goal is always to make sure they feel seen, heard, and valued every step of the way.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
For me, finding a mentor came naturally because I’m surrounded by such an inspiring team at White Lace Event.
The owner, Krissie, brings not only years of experience, but also leads with heart and genuine care. It’s made such a difference in my growth.
