Today we’d like to introduce you to Maiyte Marin.
Hi Maiyte, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started as someone who simply needed nature. Nature became the place I went to breathe whenever I felt sad, overwhelmed, or emotionally exhausted. The ocean, forests, and waterfalls became spaces where I could slow down and temporarily let go of the negativity in my mind.
At the same time, my work as a school psychologist deepened my understanding of how environments affect the nervous system, emotions, and overall well being. Over time, I realized that the moments I was capturing for myself were also helping me cope when I was no longer in nature. The images carried a feeling I could return to.
As I went through my own health challenges, I began noticing how many hospitals and medical spaces lacked the calming visual support people often need when receiving difficult or unexpected news. I kept thinking about how much environment matters during vulnerable moments, and how something as simple as nature imagery can help people feel more grounded, safe, and emotionally supported.
That realization is what led me to create Eternal Edge Photography.
Today, I create nature based fine art designed to bring a sense of calm, grounding, and emotional connection into homes, wellness spaces, medical offices, and everyday environments. My work is rooted in the belief that art can do more than decorate a wall. It can shift the feeling of a space and support the people inside it.
What began as a personal connection to nature slowly became a mission to help others reconnect with themselves through it too.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road, but this journey has taught me how important it is to believe in myself and keep moving forward. It has helped me understand that, as humans, all we can truly do is continue trying our best through every season of life.
My photography is deeply personal. It was born from emotional experiences, healing, and the way nature helped me through some of the most difficult moments in my life. Sharing that level of vulnerability through a business can feel intimidating at times, because the work carries real emotion behind it.
But through this process, I have realized how deeply people need spaces that feel calming, grounding, and emotionally supportive, especially during difficult moments. That realization continues to remind me why this work matters and why I must keep going.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a nature fine art photographer and school psychologist. My work is known for combining dramatic natural beauty with a deeper emotional connection. Many people describe my artwork as calming, reflective, and restorative rather than simply decorative.
Through Eternal Edge Photography, I create fine art pieces designed to bring a sense of calm, grounding, and emotional support into homes, wellness spaces, medical offices, and other environments where people need peace and comfort.
What sets my work apart is the perspective behind it. As a school psychologist, I understand how environments impact the nervous system, emotions, stress levels, and overall well being. Because of that, I approach photography differently. I do not just focus on creating something visually beautiful. I focus on creating artwork that feels emotionally supportive and meaningful to live with.
What I am most proud of is building something rooted in authenticity and purpose. Every image comes from real experiences, healing, and moments where nature helped me reconnect with myself during difficult seasons of life. Knowing that my work can help create spaces where people feel calmer, safer, and more emotionally grounded is the part that means the most to me.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Nature taught me that growth is rarely instant or perfect, but over time, persistence creates something meaningful.
