Meet Danielle and Gabriel Erbe of Pure PWR Pools in North County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle and Gabriel Erbe.

Danielle and Gabriel, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Gabriel and I met at Nordstrom in the mid 90’s and were married in 1998. We have two boys, Gabriel age 15 and Jacob age 11. We loved helping people and wanted to start something of our own. We looked into a few business opportunities and landed on acquiring a pool cleaning maintenance service company.

Gabriel quickly learned the ropes and we surrounded ourselves with mentors in the pool business industry, all while having a young son and a toddler.

We quickly grew our business adding more clients to our base and offering minor repairs to full equipment remodels. A client of ours found a solar thermal manufacturer that he was interested in installing. They did not install the product and we gathered all of the information needed to install our first project. We loved the product and being able to provide custom made systems.

About 3 years ago we sold our pool maintenance route and began designing and installing custom solar thermal systems, pool equipment remodels and automation. We now have a network of contractors we sub for along with our own customer base.

Has it been a smooth road?
Like all companies, we have had our challenges. After our first 2 months in business, the fires swept through North County. We had 85 pool accounts and all of them were full of ash! We turned that disaster into an opportunity for us to shine. Our customer service and determination to help others kicked into high gear. It was such a blessing to be able to get out into the community and help people to try and get back to normalcy.

There are many pool service companies and trying to separate yourself from the pack was another challenge. It turns out that installing solar and excellent customer care is just what did that. Becoming a support for other companies instead of competition is a great formula for success. We treat them and their customers as our own. It is very important for us that we shine and represent our contractors in a positive and professional way.

We are a full service pool solar, equipment and automation company. We know the ins and out of swimming pools and solar systems. We are the only pool solar company in the area that started off in the service side of the industry. That gives a clear edge over other pool solar companies.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
We have lives in San Diego our whole lives. It is hard to imagine living any where else. The weather, people and activities are hard to beat. You an go to the beach, desert or mountains in minutes. There is no city like it on earth.

I don’t like that it is getting so crowded. The traffic is getting worse every year. Of course we are spoiled!
