Meet Farid Ghanbari

Today we’d like to introduce you to Farid Ghanbari.

Hi Farid, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I born in Shiraz. A beautiful city of my country Iran. I studies architecture in my city, and after getting the bachelor degree I worked in that industry for few years but my first experience on 3D architectural visualization made me think about CGI and animation cause I felt in love with that immediately. So, I started learning by online tutorials, software documentation, and experiencing.

I was able to get some commercial projects back in my country and work with some of the local brands.

After I moved to the US, I had the chance to work with big brands like Nike, Adidas, Twitter, Crocs, Levies, and so on.

I always wanted to have my own business but working with 3FX, and The Mill was one of my best experiences and I leant a lot from the talented teams in these companies.

My LLC is called Renderburger, and I always want to grow up my baby.

I am very grateful because of what I do. I LOVE it!!!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like many other fields digital art has its own obstacles in the learning curve. Sometimes you should spend days and even weeks just to learn a new skill or even solve an error that you keep receiving.

Also, because of the nature of 3D environment most of the files and process are heavy and require strong workstations and fast internet speed. So, it makes it hard to work remotely easily from your laptop.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am art director and 3D designer. The field of art that I work in is CGI (Computer Graphic Imagery) and mostly 3D. When it comes to the client project it can be a commercial, Opining title, Music videos, or any other type of creatives that need CGI. But when it comes to my personal projects, I try to create some short individual arts that somehow trigger your feelings. Sometimes it can be something just satisfying to watch, or sometimes it can be about anger.

I have been working with big brands like Nike, Adidas, Levis, Apple Wristcam, Crocs, and so on.

It is always fun to work with these companies.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my best childhood memories is the fact that I always fascinated by clouds. I used to lay down on the grass and watch the clouds shape. Their motion, colors, forms, and everything about them has been always magical to me.
