Jamila, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m a hotel-obsessed travel journalist, blogger, and travel company owner with a worldwide passion for luxury travel. I’ve started a travel brand to inspire others to explore our beautiful world and enjoy the excitement travelling brings.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Some struggles I’ve faced were discouragement from others, telling me that what I’m doing isn’t a real job or possible. At first, it held me back from being consistent. But I thank god I was able to push past that. I’d also advise anyone who can relate to this to do what makes you happy, do what you love. No matter who tells you otherwise!

I’m a travel writer behind luxurytravelbabe.com. I specialize in writing about charming luxury hotels and adventures around the world or in Canada, where I’m from. I’m also founder of a travel community on Instagram, @luxurytravelbabe; we promote travel content of other amazingly awesome creators and also feature our own. I’m proud to inspire people to live a luxury life and travel. I believe enjoying life is a necessity for us all.
What matters most to you? Why?
I’d say what matters to me the most is continuing to keep passion and faith.
