Meet Jiin (Jeanie) Fan, Jina Javier and Jane Javier of Liv3

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jiin (Jeanie) Fan, Jina Javier and Jane Javier.

Jiin, Jina and Jane, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
5 years ago we took over our parent’s clothing store and that’s where the story of Liv3 begins… When we took over their shop, we wanted the shop to be a reflection of the 3 of us. We changed the name of the store from Fashion 5 to Liv3 so that we could have a fresh start with an identity that was more us. Liv3 represents lifestyle and we carefully curate the store that fits the lifestyle of a busy women. When creating this new brand, we wanted to be thoughtful and really intentional.

From the start this business was more passion driven then profit driven and we’re so proud that it is this way still to this day. In the 5 years of business, we’ve continually pivoted and grown into where we are today. It’s crucial for any successful business to pivot to stay relevant in the market of fashion and to also stay relevant in today’s society.

With so much online shopping, we intentionally focus on experience and connection because that’s what really sets us apart from all the other boutiques and online shops out there.

Has it been a smooth road?
Oh my goodness, I don’t know if any small business owner would say that it’s been smooth. Boy, has it been BUMPY!! And put into the mix that the business is owned by 3 sisters, I’m surprised we’ve made it this far hahaha.

We’ve had sooooo many screaming matches and we’ve also invested in many hours of counseling. To run a business with sisters is so so challenging but also so so rewarding.

When we first started this business together we were not moms so transitioning to different roles and running a business was the most challenging time in our business.

Now that our kids have grown a bit, we can all take a little breather and focus a bit more on our selves and our careers.

Liv3 thrives most when the 3 of us are solid so we’ve learned that we need to nurture the sister relationship first before business. That’s why our business focuses so heavily on connection, it’s really about the connections that keeps the longevity of the business.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Liv3 story. Tell us more about the business.
What we’re most proud of is what our business stands for. Our business stands for family and community and we reflect it in the way we interact with our customers, the way we train and love our staff, and the way we reach out to the community.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I’m sure there are so much data and forecast on online businesses taking over traditional storefronts. We honestly don’t see it that way… I really feel like we as women and we as a society are going small strong, what I mean by that is that more than ever we as a society is craving the connection and craving to know the brands, companies, and people we decide to patron with.
