Meet Maxx Moses

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maxx Moses.

The Art of Maxx Moses is a journey that began with the name Pose 2, painted on the sides of New York City Subway trains.

During College days at SUNY Brockport, he merged WildStyle lettering techniques with Surrealism and formed a creative process called Concrete Alchemy, the transformation of blank walls into massive monuments of abstract symbolism. However, the inward journey for Maxx Moses is the most fascinating, for he is a Lucid Dreamer.

Often within his dreams, he is a fully awake and aware participant where he fly’s and sees beyond the limitations of everyday life. Access to these realms inspires him to transmitted ideas and visions that most of us have not allowed ourselves the opportunity to imagine.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
“Every Human is an Artist… But Its a challenge to be free.” To remain a full-time artist has always been paramount in my life. Self Expression is like breathing, and I want to be in control of my own breath. The struggle has often been the ability to sustain oneself as a full-time artist, and that’s probably as real as it gets. These days the struggle is juggling all the things it takes to succeed.

Between marketing, promotions, bookkeeping and family matters  where does one find the time and inspiration to create art?
I consider inspiration to be the most important food. Potent life experiences feed my soul and ignite my desire to create. There have been so many success, failures, and disappointments that I am learning to embrace the rewards and failures equally. It all changes so rapidly that I’ve chosen not to be too overwhelmed by either.

In retrospect, these so-called challenging experiences are what deepens the well of inspiration and keep me connected to what we call God/Source energy. So, in general, I don’t complain about circumstances I use life as my instrument and recognize when I’m off beat I’m only 1/2 a tone away from being back in harmony with life… so I flow on.

We’d love to hear more about what you do.
