Hi Michelle, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I started Elite Lifestyle Management eight years ago after stumbling across the idea of private concierge services while flipping through a book on Entrepreneurship in a bookstore. I happened to open to the exact page where the book mentioned this concept, so I believe it was fate. After spending a little time on research and coming to the realization that I would be really good at this, I hit the ground running and never looked back. Within three months I had a business in place. Today we are a team of 12 amazing Lifestyle Managers spanning multiple continents and working together to fulfill the wishes of our amazing members.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
This was a relatively new concept for a business in San Diego and I wasn’t prepared for the hurdle of consumer education. It is surprisingly difficult to explain that our team can literally do anything from procuring a last-minute jet to ordering a pizza in the middle of nowhere or simply facilitating the repair of a flat tire through most marketing channels; explaining our service really requires a conversation. Once we established a solid member base, our growth became and has been predominantly by way of current member referrals, with only about half of our members residing in Southern California.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a membership-based luxury concierge service. Our members have access to our global team 24 hours per day to request anything that they want. For one member, it is sourcing a pink Barbie convertible car to drive around for the day with her friends and for another member, it may be to help find a new nanny for their young children. Our members live vastly different lifestyles, and we effortlessly mold around each specific member’s needs. We are like genies in a bottle for the wealthy and we pride ourselves on always delivering, no matter how crazy or difficult the ask.
What matters most to you?
If we are speaking in terms of values, integrity is most important to me. I can rest my head in peace every night knowing I am living my life as the best friend, parent, and partner that I can be. That carries through my business and the values we uphold when we are delivering services to our members.
