Meet Nicole Figueroa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Figueroa.

Hi Nicole, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Two years ago, August of 2020, I decided to make the jump and move across the country from a little town known as Sewell, NJ. During the pandemic, I had a lot of time to think. Did I really want to stay here? What’s benefitting me here? And all of answers kept coming out to a “no,” or “nothing.” I always knew I’d be in California. I just didn’t know when. Deep down, I always knew I was meant for something greater than my small town. It’s a feeling not many people understand, so I always felt so alone. But I knew I had to make a change. I came out to San Diego on a fun trip and didn’t want to leave. I instantly felt “home.” I knew I could do so well out here. So, once I got back home, I applied to a training job, got offered the job, and took it. I gave myself 90 days to get myself off my feet and begin my own business. I already did market research on my industry, and I knew with the work ethic I was brought up with, I would succeed. I left my job 2 months in (60 days) and never looked back. It’s been a beautiful ride. I am forever grateful to be a full-time Personal Coach here in San Diego, California. I express my gratitude every day. I wouldn’t be here without the man upstairs 🙏

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Fortunately, it has been. I’ve had a few bumps, but I’ve always had faith and persistence and kept going.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a personal trainer, but I rather go as a personal coach. I do more than just physically train my clients. I coach them through the 4 different tiers of fitness. (Emotional, mental, spiritual, and lastly physical) Most people don’t realize, but there is so much more that goes into transforming your body than just a physical transformation. Your thoughts play a huge part in how you treat yourself along with what you say about yourself. I specialize in Mindset Development. I’ve had a mentor or coach since I was 17. I’ve always believed that in order to become better, you must learn from the best. And that’s what sets me apart from the rest. My eagerness to constantly learn and grow.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you.
To be honest, I don’t know how I feel about this question. I believe hard work, remaining consistent, and having a positive outlook on life will get you to where you need to be no matter what. However, if we’re talking about horoscopes, I’m a Sagittarius, which means I naturally have luck because I’m naturally a positive person 😂 but hey, we can’t forget about that Capricorn in my chart 😉
