Meet Trailblazer Renata Medeiros

Today we’d like to introduce you to Renata Medeiros.

Renata, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
As a home stay mom, it felt like I was missing something… and as much as I wanted to go back to work, I also was enjoying watching my kids grow right in front of my eyes and I didn’t want to change that!

So, I figured I had to approach a different field and find a work from home kind of job, I also really wanted to follow my passion, which is fashion and then after looking for jobs I decided to give Instagram and blogging a chance!

Gathering the things I love the most: family, styling and traveling…

And since, I am a city kind of girl who moved to the coast for just to go to a fashion school and found the love of her, stayed here for good and rest is history, my brand name wasn’t hard to come up to: urban girl gone beach mom.

I am still in the very beginning but already having lots of fun!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s not easy at all! There are thousands of styling/mom bloggers out there… big ones!

But, I have learn through this journey that as long as I am myself, keeping up with constancy, networking, being humble and organic, I am sure there are space for everyone!

I would say always be yourself, there is no one like you!

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about urban girl gone beach mom – what should we know?
Becoming a mom, I found myself, that’s the hat I am most happy about, adding style as much as possible became my expertise. This is what I hear from my friend and other moms…

I absolutely love choosing my kids outfits and having fun with them on our daily basis… it can be baking a cake on a wet afternoon or a weekend at the mountains or even a day at the beach which is our family favorite spot!

I learned that for us, what it really works is to simplify, so the simpler the better… but, if you have a great photographer (friend photographer) then, you have quite of everything!

Do you recommend any apps, books or podcasts that have been helpful to you?
