Rising Stars: Meet Isabella Velasco

Today we’re excited to be connecting with Isabella Velasco again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.

Isabella, we are so thrilled to be connecting again and can’t wait to hear about all the amazing things you have been up to. Before we jump into all of that, some of our readers might have missed our prior interview, so can you take a moment to reintroduce yourself?
I’m Isabella Velasco, an artist from Tijuana whose creative journey began over seven years ago with painting. Over time, I’ve explored diverse mediums like ceramics, painting, and, ultimately, photography, which has become my professional focus.

What sets me apart is the depth of my creative exploration and the fulfillment I’ve found in my work. Photography has brought me a sense of purpose and success that I never experienced in law—it feels like coming home to who I truly am. My journey is a testament to the power of embracing one’s passion, even when it means taking risks.

Great, so let’s jump into an update on what you have been up to since we last spoke. What can you share with us?
A year ago, I made the bold decision to leave a corporate career in law, a field I practiced for over five years, to fully embrace the creative path I’ve always felt drawn to.

Today, I work as a visual storyteller, partnering with businesses to craft unique and compelling visual content that defines and elevates their brand identity. From collaborating with graphic designers on logos and brand tones to capturing family portraits and product photography, I thrive on helping ideas take shape through visuals that truly resonate.

As I look to the future, I’m excited to continue exploring new ways of expressing creativity, whether through photography, painting, or ceramics. My goal is to not only push my own boundaries but also inspire others to see the transformative power of art in their lives and brands.

We have now arrived at one of our favorite parts of the interview – the lightning round. We’ll ask you a few quick questions to give us all some fun insights about you.

What do you want people to remember about you and your brand? What are some of things that you feel are most important, unique, special, etc?
What I want people to remember about me and my brand is the positive experience of working together and the genuine passion behind everything I create. Whether it’s painting a custom piece for someone’s home, capturing a family’s special moments through photography, or crafting a unique ceramic piece, my work is always infused with love, dedication, and the joy of creating.

I believe that authenticity is one of the most important aspects of any product or brand. When something is made with true passion—something you’d gladly do even without compensation—it resonates deeply with others. That’s how I feel about my work. It’s not just about delivering a product or service; it’s about sharing a part of myself, my craft, and my belief in the value of creativity.

I hope this sincerity and commitment are palpable in every interaction, every collaboration, and every piece I produce. That’s the legacy I strive to leave with my brand.
