Who taught you the most about work?

Society has its myths about where we learn – internships, books, school, etc. However, in our conversations with some of the most interesting and trailblazing entrepreneurs and creatives we noticed the biggest lessons they learned about work often came from unexpected sources. We’ve shared some of those responses below.

Daniel Fefferman

For me, it’s not a “what” but a “who” that taught me the most about work—my dad. He’s an accountant, but not just any accountant. He holds a PhD in Tax from USC and started his own practice back in 1981. Read more>>

My mom definitely taught me the most about work and working hard. One of her rules we had growing up was that once you start something, you had to finish it. No matter how much you loved or hated that thing, you had to finish it. Read more>>

I assisted under 3 hairdressers for over a year . Each very different . The owner who was  a complete boss and ran her business so well to a structured hair cutter and last an artist who showed me how to have fun with hair . Read more>>
