Meet Ethan Jones

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ethan Jones.

Ethan, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’m a Photographer based in Ocean Beach San Diego. A vast amount of my portfolio is based around surf and lifestyle. My objective is to try and capture things in a beautiful minimalist way.

I started my photography journey in my junior year of high school. My mom happened to have bought a DSLR which I learned to fiddle around with.

Over the years since then, I’ve slowly grown my own personal style from trial and error to where we are today. I still think I’m very far from where I want want to be in photography. But am very thankful to be heading in the right direction.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Far from it. The one thing about being a photographer is that you’re always chasing perfection “the best photo you’ve ever taken” can turn into something you very much dislike within several days. Once you get to the point where you’re relying on your photos to pay your rent from month to month. It can at some points be very stressful. But with that being said it is my passion and I would have it any other way.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Ethan Jones Photography – what should we know?
My business revolves around commercial photography and giving companies the right art direction to push high-quality content to their audience.

My clientele is luxury based companies that want to give their business a certain aesthetic.

What sets the businesses commercial work apart from other competitors is the reliability factor. The turn around time for all my work to clients is within a very short period.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Fast reply communication with all clients and giving them very high-quality content within a short period of time.
