Today we’d like to introduce you to Zoe Mohler.

Zoe, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
A pioneer of personalized jewelry, Three Sisters Jewelry was founded in 2007 by Zoe. Zoe, raised in Cardiff, is a true San Diego native and draws inspiration from her beach and music-influenced upbringing in her unique designs. A team of women jewelers makes all pieces by hand in Encinitas and the designs have been worn by Heidi Klum, Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Kidman and also been featured on the pages of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, InStyle as well as HBO’s hit TV show Big Little Lies and Sharp Objects. Three Sisters Jewelry also has lines featured for Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn’s Mark & Graham and Uncommon Goods.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There is no template for starting a business – I’ve had to learn as I go and appreciate I can’t do it all. I depend on a team of experts at what they do to help guide me.

Founded in 2007, Three Sisters Jewelry pioneered the art of personalized jewelry and continues to set the bar for exquisitely crafted interpretations of its wearers’ stories. From a single initial hand stamped in gold to a layered combination of symbolic numbers, names and stones, we revel in giving form to your memories, your loved ones and your unique spirit.

LOCAL CRAFTSMANSHIP
At the heart of Three, Sisters Jewelry is a dedication to craftsmanship and authenticity. Eschewing mass production and machinery, every Three Sisters Jewelry piece is locally produced and a true one-of-a-kind. Handcrafted in our airy coastal California studio where vintage desks serve as workstations, our team of jewelry makers cut, cast, stamp, forge and finish every piece by hand. We take great pride in hand making all pieces within California using recycled metals – from jewelry design to casting, to personalization and to assembling.

INSPIRATION
Three Sisters Jewelry founder Zoe is drawn to dichotomies in nature and culture. She draws inspiration from the golden Southern California light and bohemian-chic lifestyle surrounding her, as much as the nostalgia and weight of the vintage jewelry she collects. Zoe is moved by the lyrical interplay of shadow and light, the organic and the edgy, and the tangible and the ethereal.

DESIGN AESTHETIC
Zoe’s iconic adornments infuse feminine style with an unexpected edge, capturing the strength and vulnerability of the free-spirited women she designs for. Ever present in Three Sisters Jewelry signature designs is a dreamy juxtaposition of retro influences with a decidedly of the moment allure. The resulting modern heirlooms embody a timeless, effortless style.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
