Meet T-Chronic from Santee

Today we’d like to introduce you to T-Chronic.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
In 8th grade, I found a rhyme book in my teacher’s classroom. While flipping through the pages of this book, I was instantly intrigued and began writing down rhymes and creating verses. The more I worked on my craft, the better I became. I am truly fascinated by the way words connect together. Analogies, metaphors, double entendres, and the math behind the structures of syllables opened my mind. The way the delivery of one sentence can change entirely when one word is added or taken out captivates me. Over time, I started forming my own style and recording my creations. I released my debut album, “Chronidelic,” in April of 2017, followed by my EP titled “Amethyst” in March of 2018, and my album “Shifting Paradigms” in October of 2018. Throughout these releases, I’ve also put out five music videos and performed at many shows. I am very grateful to be able to say I’ve opened up for Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Zion I & Lyrics Born, Grouch & Eligh, and KRS-ONE. These artists have greatly inspired me and I am honored that I was a part of those concerts. Big thank you to Droops of OutDaHouse for blessing me with those opportunities! Currently, I have several shows lined up and I am getting ready to release my new album “PHOENIX Ch.1 Dedicated to Austin Karl” on Friday, May 3rd. In addition to being a Hip-Hop artist, I am also a part of a seven-piece Roots/Rock-Hip/Hop band called “Strictly Skunk.” We are a very versatile group with a great message!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. But ultimately, every challenge I’ve faced on my path has only contributed to my growth. Obstacles will inevitably appear on the journey to manifesting your dreams, but they are tests. Once you break through to the other side and get past whatever it was holding you back, you will gain knowledge, wisdom, and insight which will only build you up.

Please tell us about T-Chronic.
Music is my spiritual tool to help bring change to this planet. Music is a universal language that connects us all. With that awareness, I strive forth with the mission of bringing people together in harmony. I am known for having a positive attitude, and a Love Life mindset. We are blessed to be alive. Aside from “T-Chronic” music, I am a guitar player and singer alongside the other frontman of the band, my brother, Kaya Hall (K-Skunk). I am very active in self-promoting. Anywhere from making online posts, booking shows, performing/entertaining, getting merchandise made, writing, recording, are all fields I work in.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Thats a hard question! I can think of many great memories… I really enjoyed the days when my whole family would go out to El Capitan Lake. We would BBQ, fish, take the boat out, go tubing, and ride the jet skis. I always had a blast going there as a kid.
