Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Rose Faure.
Ashley, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I come from a long line of Realtors. My grandfather, father, & uncle all made real estate their careers. For years I was incredibly hesitant to go into this business because my family was severely affected by the housing crash of 2008.
Rewind a little further back, I grew up a student-athlete in springboard diving, which I actually ended up making it on the Junior Olympic Springboard Diving Team. My average day was waking up for school at 6:00 am then going straight to practice after school until about 8 pm. My homework was always done en-route to practice, on airplanes, in hotel rooms, etc. Ever since I was seven years old, I have never known a life that wasn’t always moving, always busy and always proactive.
As soon as I graduated high school, I explored careers in marketing, writing, teaching yoga, management, retail & various sales jobs. Though I found myself constantly searching for some sort of career that just “felt right”, which not one of these did, they never felt dynamic enough for me. For my 25th birthday, my grandfather bought me a real estate school, so I figured at this point I might as well give it a shot.
Fast forward three years I feel so blessed to be in a career that I not only find so much joy in but that also just “feels right”. Ironically all of my past job experiences and past experiences being a junior Olympic athlete, I believe, have helped make me as successful as I am today.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It was hard at first. Just mentally knowing that I was entering into a career that over 80% of people fail was extremely terrifying. Luckily I can be stubborn and I wasn’t going to let failure be an option.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
Prior to coming into real estate, I worked in both marketing and management for about a decade. With these skills, I am able to get a home in front of as many eyes as possible utilizing creative and efficient marketing tactics. I am also able to manage a transaction to ensure it moves as smoothly as possible.
Something else I offer my clients is not only knowing North County San Diego extremely well from growing up here, but I also knowing a lot of people who live here. Word of mouth still goes a long way in marketing a home or finding off-market properties in the area. Something I am the most proud of is that after just three years in the business, a majority of my clients come by referrals. I love my clients and will work hard to ensure they are happy at the end of a transaction.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success to me is the constant push towards creating an incredible life for yourself and your family. Constant work towards being the best at what you do, the best spouse/partner you can be, the best friend to those who surround you and a great human being for people to look up to and aim to mirror.
Success doesn’t necessarily mean dollar signs in my book. Though from my experience working on the things listed above, I believe does encourage financial success.
