Today we’d like to introduce you to Patrick Dockry.
Patrick Dockry starting in the beauty industry at 16 years of age. He got his start while working for a friend’s family making nail products in their home garage. From there, he attended beauty shows and was inspired to attend beauty college at the Oceanside School of Beauty. After receiving his license, he worked in several hair salons. He had the opportunity to work with some of the most influential people in the industry, like Gene Shacove, stylist to the stars. Over the years, he has owned salons, educated and distributed for many large beauty manufacturers.
He is currently founder/owner of Ultimate Salon Professionals, parent company to ENJOY Hair Care, Formula 18 Hair Care, Colure Hair Care, HBL Hair Care and Hairdresser Power. His current project, The Hairdresser Power Challenge, a unique transformation and makeover competition where three contestants are judged by two industry icons during a transformation challenge. The contestants will have to complete a cut, color and makeover transformation in 3.5 hours then showcase the final look during a ten-minute photoshoot emphasizing the before and after transformation. Hairdresser Power Challenge first aired February 2020 on CNBC and is currently airing nationally. In addition, there will be a 200-page Hairdresser Power Challenge Beauty book showcasing the contestants, judges, beauty and makeup tips. The Beauty Book will be distributed to top salons throughout the United States.
Patrick’s goal is to showcase the talents and creativity of hairstylist in order to elevate the perception and value that society has towards the hairdressing profession.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road has never been smooth but Patrick is always up for any challenge that may come his way. He is a glass 1/2 full kind of guy, has a positive attitude and loves a challenge.

We make several brands including; ENJOY Hair Care, FORMULA 18 Hair Care, Colure Hair Care, HBL Hair Care and THCare. I am most proud of our ethics, innovation, integrity and quality. Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t feel that luck has played a role. I believe that each individual, with effort and persistence, creates their own luck.
