Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaysea DeVoe.
Jaysea, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Back when I was twelve years old, I became the youngest certified female yoga instructor in the United States. I was so devoted to the practice of yoga that it turned from a hobby into a lifestyle. With the success of teaching, ideas of starting a yoga clothing brand started to branch. By the time I was fourteen we had begun designing the perfect yoga pant that technical yet stylish. After multiple trips to factories, we found one in Bali. Our yoga line was made and instantly had become a local phenomenon. We have had multiple retail stores as well online. Our brand is called Sea Vibes and we are a women’s activewear brand inspired by the sea.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
For me being so young it was hard to be accredited in the yoga business. On top of that, balancing school, teaching yoga, and running a clothing brand was hard to do. On the business side of things finding a factory that could make our clothes was surprisingly hard. We ended up finding a factory in Bali when we were traveling. We spent a week walking through the factory and meeting the people who were making our clothes. It was a great fit and we are so happy that it worked out. That was the biggest obstacle yet.

Sea Vines is a women’s activewear brand inspired by the sea. We make fashionable yet technical activewear clothes. Founder Jaysea DeVoe is a mini icon in the yoga world and is the face of our brand. What sets us apart from the millions of yoga brands is our drive. We use photos and patterns to collage a print then use sublimation. We thrive to make our yoga pant for all occasions. Whether you’re going to yoga, going for a run, or paddle boarding our pant was made for adventures.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
In the future, we plan to turn our old airstream into a nomadic pop-up shop. We will travel up the coast selling our product.
