If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?

I would say be gentle with yourself and listen to/trust yourself. You know more than you think you do, and listen to your own voice instead of letting others influence you and your decisions. It’s okay to make mistakes, and it’s definitely okay not to be perfect. Be patient, kind, and proud of yourself and the progress you’re making. Read more>>

Even as a child I was someone that was determined to always do my best and work hard even if it was challenging or difficult for me I wasn’t always the fastest learner, but I always had a strong work ethic and a belief in myself to never give up because if I did, I felt I would be letting myself and others down. If I could say one kind thing to my younger self I would say to trust that you are enough. Trust that you do not need to be someone else. Trust that if you keep doing what you are doing, your artwork will be enough. You don’t need to try to guess what artwork someone wants to see. You can do what speaks to you. Read more>>
