Today we’d like to introduce you to Uyen Nguyen.
Uyen, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started out as a hairstylist and now I work as a full-time lash artist and bridal stylist & MUA
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It was not an easy road. Trying to get a new client to my chair was really hard. I had to work for a lot of different salons in the past ten years and go through a lot of different trainings to get to where I am today.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I have always love doing beauty stuff. That why I went to cosmetology school. I’ve done a lot of work in the past from nails, hair styling, barber, facial, brows, and lashes. But I have narrowed to my niches, which are lashes and bridal and event hair and make-up. What I’ve most proud of is that I have my own little business and work whenever I want to. It was a lot of hard work and dedication. My clients have been my # one supporters and I am forever grateful for them. I have always known for Uyen ” the hairstylist”. I still love cutting hair here and there. But my daily job is lashes, and my weekend job is wedding hair and make-up.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I’m very friendly and talkative. I can make friends with anyone and anywhere. as I grow older, I’m a little shy LOL.
