Today we’d like to introduce you to Daisy Aquino.

Hi Daisy, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always been very passionate about makeup/ hair/ skin and all things beauty-related. That dream was put on hold when I became a mother at a young age, and my priorities changed. I had my first son in 2012 and my second in 2014. My only goal at the time was to provide for my children. I worked many different jobs, went to college and tried to find a “stable” career. I wasn’t ready to fully commit to the beauty industry. I was so frustrated because I knew all I wanted was more time for my family and myself. I wanted that freedom and I wanted to be my own boss. I quickly began to realize all the countless OT hours I worked, I could be investing into MYSELF and working towards my goals. Friends and family would always ask me to do their makeup for events and I enjoyed doing it so much as a hobby! Fast forward 2020… COVID rocked out worlds and I definitely felt like it was a blessing in disguise for me. I had researched into different courses until I decided to take my first Microblading/ Ombré powder brow course in February 2021. I quit my server job and drove to Las Vegas by myself determined to make it in the permeant makeup world (PMU) and I haven’t looked back since. My only goal now is to continue to grow and learn from other amazing artists and peers in the beauty industry.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It most definitely has not been a smooth road for me. I went through so much emotionally, mentally, and physically just to get where I am today. I’m still learning how to balance my personal life, motherhood, growing a business. There have been countless of ups and downs. Nonetheless, it all comes down to YOU believing in yourself. It’s amazing what you can accomplish in such a short time. Don’t doubt yourself! Keep going.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The Beauty Spot SD?
I’m a permanent makeup artist who offers ombré powder brows (semi-permanent brow tattoo) brow lamination, brow threading, brow tinting more services coming soon… I have invested a lot of my time in perfecting my craft and becoming the best! What sets me apart from others is my worth ethic, professionalism and my passion for beauty.

What are your plans for the future?
My goal is to become a trainer one day and share my tips and tricks about the work I do but most importantly to share my story and continue to inspire other woman in my community that no dream is too big! I will also be adding more services and plan to open a bigger location to share my workspace with woman or men who have the same passion and drive I do. I want thank my gf for being my biggest supporter, my family, friends, and my lovely clients for believing in me and keeping me busy.
