Today we’d like to introduce you to Dustin Hayes.
Hi Dustin, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey didn’t start here. It started in Yukon, Oklahoma, where I was born and raised until I joined the U.S. Navy. I was medically retired from the Navy in 2013. I always knew I was going to own a business just didn’t know what. I’ve owned several other businesses, and it wasn’t until I played around roasting coffee that I knew this is what I am suppose to do. So, this is how Red White & Badass Brew was born.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road. All the previous businesses have been serviced based and this was my first online business. There were so many hurdles to overcome. For one finding the right coffee beans, to now finding flavors that would taste great to my customers, to building a great website, designing a logo and product bags, finding affordable suppliers. Marketing has been my Achilles heel with this business, I am the visionary and not the marketer. But, I am grinding away and figuring out the roadblocks and clearing them.

Red White & Badass Brew grew out of love for this country and coffee. RWBB is a veteran-owned badass coffee company that delivers the freshest roasted coffee from around the world. Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
First of all, my family gives me the drive to wake and do my very best each and every day. I am at the happiest when I am helping out my community and veterans that paved the way for our freedoms. After that I really enjoy the outdoors, paddle boarding, scuba diving, shooting guns, and skiing.
