Since childhood, I’ve had a passion for rearranging furniture, accessories, and art to showcase my creativity and enhance the beauty of my surroundings, whether it was my childhood home or a friend’s room. This innate talent for interior design led me to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Architecture at Columbia College Chicago. Immersed in a city renowned for its architecture, I honed my skills in designing spaces that prioritize safety, functionality, and aesthetics.
Following almost six years of dedication and hard work in the local Chicago design industry, specializing in high-end residential projects, I proudly earned my Interior Architecture degree. Upon relocating to San Diego, California, I established my own design firm in North County, serving clients in San Diego and the surrounding areas.
At my design firm, we offer comprehensive interior design services catering to both residential and commercial projects. Our mission is to craft functional spaces with distinct character that captivate attention. We specialize in transforming houses into homes, striving to create spaces that authentically reflect the individuals who inhabit them. From initial consulting to final execution and staging, we are committed to delivering exceptional results at every stage of the design process.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey hasn’t been without its bumps. As a young designer and business owner, each day brings new lessons for both myself and my team. Running an interior design business has been both rewarding and challenging. While there have been many successes along the way, there have also been obstacles to overcome. Initially, establishing a client base and gaining traction in a competitive market was a goal. It required significant effort to market my services effectively and build trust with potential clients. Furthermore, Balancing the financial aspects of running a business, such as budgeting for projects, and ensuring to stay within clients’ budgets has been an ongoing challenge. It’s important to stay organized and financially disciplined to sustain the business and relationship with my clients.
Also, as a designer in Souther California, standing out from other designers and differentiating my services required creativity, innovation, and a strong brand identity. Balancing multiple projects and deadlines while ensuring quality and attention to detail, prioritizing tasks, managing time effectively, and delegating responsibilities when necessary are essential for staying on track.
Overall, while there have been challenges, each one has presented an opportunity for growth and learning. By overcoming these obstacles, I’ve been able to strengthen my skills, grow my business, and provide exceptional service to my clients.
