Inspiring Conversations with Angel Serrano of Serrano Family Flooring & Design

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angel Serrano. 

Hi Angel, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
-learned how to install carpet at age 13 working with his dad and Uncles as a helper -Continued installing carpet and then tile for many years working for other contractors 

-unable to start his own business due to having custody of his 3 boys 

-met his wife in 2004 who helped with the children and asked him, “Why do you keep working for other contractors, you should work for yourself” 

-Serrano Family Flooring was started 

-Melissa and Angel married in Sept 2005 

-Grew the company and had several small showrooms, working with designers and custom home builders 

-We now have (2) locations in Temecula. One is our countertop slab fabrication shop and the other is a 9,000 SF showroom to display tile, full-size slabs, vinyl plank, and engineered wood materials. 

-All (3) of our sons’ ages 24, 28, and 29 work for the company full-time, and our daughter-in-law is currently in training to help at the showroom. 

-We pride ourselves in being a family-owned, small business that will always provide a quality-installation and stand behind the Serrano Family name. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
-managing a full-time business, raising three kids 

-Recession of 2008 was not easy but because we offer such diverse services and materials, we got through it.

Serrano Family Flooring & Design is family owned and operated, licensed, bonded, and insured with over 20 years experience. Angel started working at the age of 13, learning from his father and his uncles. Over the years he worked for several other flooring companies to reach his dream today of owning his own business. Angel takes pride in every project he is blessed to manage; he has an amazing eye for design and the experience to make sure your job is properly completed. Due to the amazing relationships established over the years with custom home builders, designers, and numerous flooring stores, we have had the opportunity to work on many million-dollar homes in La Jolla, Rancho Bernardo, and Del Mar. 

Serrano Family Flooring & Design provides installation of wood, tile, stone, porcelain, slate, ceramic, marble, carpet, and laminate flooring. Custom showers, staircases, medallions, backsplashes, niches, archways, wainscots, outdoor pavers, pickets, and BBQs. Slab fabrication and installation of marble, granite, quartzite, porcelain, soapstone, travertine, Caesarstone, and other quartz materials. Serrano Family has experience working with exotic and high-end slab materials. 

Help with design, material selection, and layout is provided at no additional charge. Free estimates and competitive pricing with discounts are offered for the purchase of material with your installation. We provide services to all of North County, San Diego, Temecula, Murrieta, Wildomar, and Menifee. We take pride in our work and stand behind the Serrano family name.

We still use some of the “old school” methods that will always provide a quality installation and only carry products in our showroom that are high quality to ensure a long-lasting, beautiful outcome for every project.
