My journey to where I am today wouldn’t have been possible without the loyalty and dedication of the Gloss family. When I took over Gloss Hair Studio, I had a vision of creating not just a salon, but a community of passionate, talented individuals who share a commitment to excellence. Over the years, this incredible team has proven to be the backbone of our success. They are strong, independent professionals who continually strive to learn, grow, and push boundaries in this ever-evolving industry. Watching them embrace challenges, hone their craft, and make their own unique marks on the industry has been one of my greatest joys.
The process of building Gloss into the salon it is today has been as much about the people as it has been about the work. I’ve been fortunate to have a support staff that embodies what it means to care deeply about client satisfaction. From the moment someone joins Gloss, they become part of our family—a family built on trust, collaboration, and a shared drive for success. It hasn’t always been an easy road, but seeing the way my team rises to the occasion and supports one another reminds me why I started this journey. They’ve played an irreplaceable role in creating the welcoming, thriving salon environment that Gloss is known for, and for that, I will always be deeply grateful.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to where I am today has been far from smooth, but every challenge has shaped me into the person and professional I am now. Life-altering and painful experiences taught me resilience and how to find strength in adversity. As a single mom early on, I faced the pressures of providing for my family while chasing my dreams. When I met my husband, James, he became the partner I never knew I needed, stepping into fatherhood and supporting me through some of life’s toughest moments. Together, we faced the uncertainties of raising a son on the autism spectrum, navigating early intervention, and advocating for him to reach his full potential.
Taking over Gloss Hair Studio was a leap of faith. While I saw its potential, transforming it into the thriving business it is today required an immense amount of work, especially during the challenges of the pandemic. There were moments of self-doubt and times when I felt defeated, but I couldn’t let myself or the women I employ down. Managing the financial and emotional pressures of running a business, while also mentoring young stylists, tested my perseverance and determination.
Despite the struggles, these experiences have taught me invaluable lessons and strengthened my resolve. There’s still more to the story, and I continue to embrace the challenges ahead with gratitude and hope.

Pricing:
- Haircuts range from $80-$90. Includes consultation, shampoo, cut and style. This cut is for anything shoulder and longer. We take into consideration of your lifestyle, face-shape and your commitment to your style.
- Lightening services range from $150-$500 and are tailored to your desired result, with techniques, product and price set by your stylist.
- Root Touch ups are $120 and apply one solid color to re-growth of roots. Usually for grey coverage and Includes Liquid Luster Treatment which instantly gives extra shine, silkiness and extreme softness to the hair, for a glass-like finish.
- We offer a multitude of Extension Services and only use high quality ethically sourced hair. Price varies depending on the type of extensions and installs. A consultation is always recommended.
- We offer blowouts and styling to create the perfect look for your special occasion or day to day routine. Our Blowout packages are a great deal to make it part of your beauty routine!
