RISING STARS : MEET POETIC JUSTICE JEANS, BREAKING BARRIERS IN THE PLUS SIZE FASHION NICHE.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Poetic Justice. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Poetic Justice® is a brand deeply rooted in denim designed to fit curvy body types, specifically women who have a smaller natural waist with shapely hips, thighs, and/or backsides for women who suffer from the dreaded “back gaps” found in ordinary jeans. As we developed into a full-fledged fashion brand, we also expanded our involvement and commitment to the African-American community, our primary customer via our philanthropic efforts and brand identity.

Our ultimate ambition is to drive confidence, empowerment, and happiness in every woman, helping them resonate with fashion to be synonyms with exhilaration.

Over the years, our brand constantly strived to empower women and make them feel happy and comfortable in their bodies. Self-Love, when you look into the mirror every morning, is the goal.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Considering how we focused on building a brand that helped resolve the issue of the perfect fit for women of all sizes, there sure were a couple of challenges along the way. It has taken a significant amount of time for the industry to be all-encompassing of different types of bodies and be accepting of them.

Even today, there are many avenues where women are judged on their body types and fashion choices openly, on social media especially, but having said that, we tirelessly work to make sure that through our brand we build a niche strong enough for women to be accepting of how amazing they are and how we absolutely love curves and so should they.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Work for me mainly includes my passion, passion of building aesthetics, styles, and designs that redefine the ideas of creativity as a whole. I specialize in creating designs and building an identity that is the personality of the brand. The values this brand stands for comes from the designs and styles we put out.

We are absolutely most proud of the fact that we can be very well known as a brand that builds itself from fashion that is inclusive, accepting, and accommodating of every woman. Our pride is our mission and ambition of fashion being an expression of exhilaration for women.

Hope and drive, I’d say set us apart from every brand in the industry. Hope that we will be able to revolutionize a change in the industry, how we think of fashion, and drive to un lift women to the zenith of their confidence in fashion and themselves.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Luck one might say is destined, but for us as an organization, team, and family, luck is something we have worked towards. Through endless efforts and hard work, luck has been weaved and manifested by each and every member of our team.

Good and bad luck can be pretty subjective, and to be honest, we have been faced with our equal shares of both, but the main focus here would be the hope we grew as a brand through those good and bad times.
