Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiara Cardoza
Kiara, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I became licensed in May of 2022 while I was 5 months pregnant with my youngest daughter. I began working in December of 2022 locally at a spa and went on to work for a few different companies until I took the leap of faith and bet on myself. I began taking clients from home and built my business through word of mouth. a year later I outgrew my little room and signed a lease at my now new space in oceanside April 2024. I offer fully customized facials treatments including dermaplane, gua sha, oxygen and nano infusion, lash lifts and buccal (intra oral) massage. all of my services can include sound healing and reiki healing if the client is open to receiving, it’s a great calming energy to experience while treating yourself to a facial or lash lift.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely figuring out all the ins and outs, dos and don’t dos for starting up your own legit business was a challenge in itself. You have so many questions on all the rules and regulations that need to be followed with the city but also with the bbc. on top of all that balancing mom life, wife life and business owner life made for some bumps in the road. But in the end, everything truly does work itself out. And I’m grateful for the challenges that I had to overcome because it taught me a lot.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I specialize in facials that weave relaxation and correction, I’m not a fully holistic esthetician but I do offer massage techniques such as gua sha and buccal massage. My focus in the treatment room is to heal the skin barrier through noninvasive treatments and a skincare line to gracefully age and return skin back to health. I’m getting a lot of clients very interested in buccal massage to relieve tmjd ,pain, tension and discomfort in their jaw and also to sculpt the face. This form of massage is done intra oral and can be added to any facial or done on its own. For a lot of my clients getting this massage was a last resort but they wish they found it sooner, its a powerful massage technique that has to be experienced to understand the relief it brings and I’m so honored that I have helped multiple people find relief in the pain the experienced and also gracefully age with massage. I also am reiki II certified so I can include reiki and sound healing into my treatments if my clients are open to receiving. I like to say my services are rooted in healing your skin and soul. It’s much more than just looking good but also feeling good when you leave the room. I am proud that I can help others achieve healthy glowing skin, confidence, relaxation and a minute to show themselves some love. All of my services are fully customized with your skin’s health as the top priority. I offer a good array of different facials for everyone!
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
My empathy, kindness and integrity for peoples well being. I really feel that is very well transmuted with everything that I do in my business. I love to make others feel so good and my hustle and ambition just keep me going and wanting more.
