Today we’d like to introduce you to Craig Lozzi.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I began practicing in the early 70’s, first as a personal interest. I continued to study several modalities and working on family and friends. I found it fulfilling to help others and discovered I had a natural “feel” for it. After receiving some powerful regular sessions over the course of a few years, my body therapist suggested I undergo more formal training. In 1979 I enrolled in a comprehensive 3-year training at the Polarity Health Institute on beautiful Orcas Island in Puget Sound. After completing this holistic based course that included body-work, nutrition, herbs, exercise and counseling skills, I assisted in the school’s teaching program and began practicing massage and bodywork professionally.
I continued for several years working in spas and with other health professionals, including physicians, chiropractors, physical therapists, psychologists and acupuncturists. I opened the Fallbrook Wellness Spa in 1996 with my wife at that time. After a decade of managing that business and maintaining a robust practice, I sold my share and began my current practice.
I have worked for the last 11 years in a solo practice, but work closely with several other health practitioners to create the best holistic and traditional therapies for my clients. A year ago, my older daughter, Laurel, has joined my business as a massage therapist and life coach. She offers her own unique skills and insights to our clients. It is a joy to share this healing work with her and continue to both learn and grow from each other’s perspective.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The aspect of learning the actual techniques and applying them has been a continuous joy and pleasure. Having a large business previously, with 15 employees including several other massage therapists, brought its share of challenges. I found this to be true especially because I had such a strong sense of what the experience and environment I desired for the client.
Being in a small practice again, with 100% control of my “product” had allowed me to concentrate my efforts on my original and primary love in this field: to effectively touch others and empower them on their journey of health. Adding Laurel to my practice has only expanded the possibilities of being of service for my clients

Transcendent Touch Healing Massage provides a wide array of massage modalities, health and life coaching and compassionate heart-centered touch. Some people come to us just to relax. We are especially known for working with people experiencing many different types of problems: injuries, chronic stress and mental/emotional challenges. We are part of an organic network of providers that looks at the best way to help our clients, even if that means referring them to someone else more suitable for their needs. Our reputation in our community and on the internet, speaks for itself. We follow up with each client to insure their session was effective.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was very shy and introverted. I lost myself in academics throughout elementary and high school and was somewhat of a scholar, mostly by the merit of hard work. When I left home for college I discovered the world of natural foods, gardening and cooking. Something awoke in me and I have been on a health journey ever since. I found myself inexplicably dropping out of college after just one semester. Instead I pursued the avenues of learning available to me in the fertile soil of the earth and my own body.
