Today we’d like to introduce you to Michele Cook.
Michelle is the owner of Salon LG. She is a hair extension specialist and hair stylist in San Diego. Shelly has over 20 years experience in the hair and cosmetology industry. Shelly specializes in hair color, haircuts and HAIR EXTENSIONS! Shelly was the hair and makeup artist for both the San Diego Charger Girls and the San Diego Riptide Cheerleaders for several years. She has worked on several photo shoots in San Diego with local and European photographers. Our most important objective is to make your hair look natural, beautiful and sexy! We make Hair EASY. 🙂
I have been blessed with a career I was born to do. I truly love being a hairstylist. I have the most amazing clients and stylists that I love to work with every day. It is thrilling to have been recognized in the La Jolla community with several awards and recently we were awarded “Best of Solana Beach” Hair Salon, 2012. We moved to our new location in Solana Beach in 2012. We hope to become a part of this new community and we look forward to meeting new clients every day
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Struggles have been finding good stylists to add to my salon, staying organized, doing social media. Doing the build out of my salon required a lot of hard work.
Finding good assistants that stay with me and can keep up with my business and clientele.

We are a full-service hair salon in Solana Beach, California. We specialize in all types of hair extensions and have done extensive research and trials to be able to provide our customers with the best products on the market. At Salon LG, we address beauty from the outside AND the inside. We also believe in using our talents to give back to the community- by creating the Back To Life Project, aiming to empower cancer patients, survivors, and other women in need get their life back to some normalcy through complimentary beauty services and hair extensions.
Salon LG has been featured on Channel 6 San Diego, KUSI-TV. Salon LG has also been featured in FINE Magazine, and at the Academy Awards Celebrity Connected 2014.

Being personable, dependable, and persevering. Learning and keeping up with the trends and company’s products.
